Cheat Chicken Pie – The chicken pie is delicious, quick and easy to make and the ultimate comfort food. It’s super savoury and guarantee to keep you feeling full this winter. Whether you have it for lunch or dinner, it won’t disappoint.

So, here’s how to make it… – ready-rolled shortcrust pastry, onion (chopped), leek (chopped), Taste Inc. Chargrilled Chicken (shredded), smoked streaky bacon (diced), mushrooms (sliced), vegetable stock (dissolved), milk, olive oil, butter, plain flour.

In a pan, take your leek and onion, mushroom, and bacon and fry in the butter and oil. Add the flour once the onions have softened/caramelised.

Stir in the stock and add the milk so the sauce is creamy and rich. Keep stirring the mixture until the sauce is smooth and textured. If it’s a little thick, add some more liquid.

Add the shredded Taste Inc. chicken and stir until the meat is completely coated with the sauce, and pour the contents into a small pie dish. Then top the pie dish with a lid made from the ready-rolled pastry. Make sure to dot some holes in the lid with a fork to allow air out during cooking!

Cover the pastry with a brush of milk and then bake in the oven for around 25 minutes. The pie should turn golden within that time and make sure the temperature is 200C/400F. It serves 4 people.
