With summer rolling in, that means festival season is in full swing! There’s plenty of events all around the country that you can attend with your family. Whether you plan to stay for a day or camp for the weekend, here we round up the top five.

Latitude

Latitude festival is entering its twelfth year this summer and remains an absolute haven for families. This year’s line-up includes Mumford and Sons and Two Door Cinema Club. There are various arenas for music, comedy and theatre, and there’s a kids’ area with a curated line up of child entertainment and traditional woodlands crafts.

Pommery Seafood Festival

If you have a taste for seafood, then the Pommery Seafood Festival is the way to go. Located in Weymouth, this festival offers family entertainment over a two-day period. You can expect to see a range of talented acts on top of some great food to sit down and enjoy.

Curious

Curious is an enchanting festival, jam-packed with all kinds of interesting and fun acts, ranging from stand-up comedians, poets and exciting musicians. Children can get involved in traditional games, writing workshops and other fun activities.

The Good Life Experience

Soak up the last of the summer at The Good Life Experience festival. It’s a weekend of traditional campfire sessions and outdoor cookery, as well as music and talks. There’s a free vintage fairground that your children will love. This is a back-to-basics festival, with an emphasis on the great outdoors.

Shrewsbury Folk Festival

The place to be this summer for all things folk! From drama, crafts, to music and dance, the Shrewsbury folk festival is an ideal festival for all the family to enjoy. It even has a children’s festival within the main event, called the Pandemonium. Those who are a bit older and want a break from their parents can chill out at the Youth Festival. This is for individuals aged between 11-20. Don’t miss out!
